American Idol + Beatles= Pretty Bad Performances

I'm so over Amanda... I never loved her or thought she was very talented, but now her pompous attitude and her cliched rocker redo of every song is ridiculous.

Kristy Lee Cook just needs to go. This is the second week in a row that she has ruined a Beatles tune and her voice isn't any good. Oh and by the way could someone tell her that real tomboys don't wear bedazzled dresses or sequined tank tops or enouh glitter makeup to shock Mariah Carey!!!

I love David Archuletta's voice and was so glad he redeemed himself this week. Granted I'm a little afriad that he can't do non-ballads because the only time he seemed to try was last week and he forgot the words. But I have faith and he's just so darn talented!

Something about Michael Johns just irks me. Also, he didn't hit a lot of the notes he should have and his voice was not as good as it usually is. And he needs to stop doing the soundtrack to Across the Universe, we get it you like the more obscure Beatles songs... move on!

This may not be my favorite Brooke White performance, but I still think she's okay and I like her. The song choice may not be the best, but it wasn't bad and I really do love her way. I also love that when Simon was criticizing her and people booed him she was like "it's okay."

I don't care whether the judges like him or not, but I looooooooooooooove David Cook. More than anything I think I love him even if he doesn't have the best voice because he genuinely cares about how his performance sounds, not just how his voice sounds. He's ready to be a real artist, perhaps moreso than American Idol can understand.

While I think Carly Smithson has a wonderful voice and def. deserves a singing contract I don't necessarily think she's right for American Idol (and not just because she's not from America lol). Although I do love that her friends sitting in the audience always are covered head to toe in tatoos and stick out like sore thumbs in the middle of the AI audience.

I find Jason Castro very intriguing. I don't think his voice is the best of the group, but I think if he had a CD I would buy it just because he seems very comfortable in his own shoes and knows himself vocally very well. I find him very entertaining even though I don't think he could ever be the American Idol.

Syesha, Syesha, Syesha... you cannot pick such an American classic like "Yesterday" and not put any emotion into the first 45 seconds (especially when you only get a minute and half). While I think her voice is pretty, I do not think she has what it takes to be an American Idol. However she should still be here next week because she def. sang better than a lot of the other contestants.

While I like Chikezie's voice, I don't always like his performances. I didn't like this one because i kind of felt like the countrifying/deep south version of the song has already been done by him... last week. I like that he takes risks and tries to make the songs his own, but you don't always have to rearrange a song to do it justice, especially such beautiful songs like these.

Can Ramiele ever perform a song without looking like a strange high school musical reject? I think she has an alright voice, but her stage presence SUCKS!!! Oh and her outfits make the choices people made in the 80's look good. Who the hell is dressing her or approving her choices?
