So here we are, mid August. I'm done teaching at the summer academy, though tomorrow I have to substitute teach [acting] in some random backwoods town in Rhode Island. No idea what I'm teaching since the dude hasn't been in touch to give me his lesson plan, but ... you know, whatever.
Waitressing continues. HOWEVER! I got a call today from the temping people. I might be a temp! Wahoo!! I'm souped about this, and I'm not even being sarcastic. If I can work out the temping, perhaps I can quit the effing restaurant business and do day to day stuff, to make time for...
TRAVELLING PLANS!
I'm going to California Labor Day weekend with Tre to visit Charlotte. We are obviously going to have a spectacular kickass time, and I'm super super excited for it. Sometime in the not too distant future, I need to get up to Vermont and New Hampshire. I'll be in Vermont this weekend definitely for my Grandmother's 85th Birthday Party. I'm hopefully getting down to Florida around Columbus Day - Orlando. Then I'll be back in DC a week or so later (If you want to see me in that time frame, let me know ahead of time, and I'll work it out). Then Veteran's Day weekend (November) I'm heading back down to Florida for my Grandfather's 80th birthday. It's a big year for my family, apparently.
So life moves along. I can't believe it's August; or that I'm not going to be in school this fall. Is it wrong that I'm excited about that? I'm trying to get it together to take some acting classes this fall - and hopefully do some (Say it with me now) ACTING!
So I'm going to go watch Gilmore Girls (don't judge me), do the dishes, take a shower, and then introduce my cat to my parents' cat... oh yes, because I'm moving in with my parents at the end of the summer. Whilst chillaxing in Pawtucket, I will call the temping people back and establish myself in the wonderful world of office escapades.
