So...
Life continues to be hectic. I'm all about the sleeping, as always. I finished "Angels and Demons" (which was quite good) and I"ve moved on to "The Time Traveler's Wife," which will most likely be followed by "The DaVinci Code." Books are awesome. It's only the beginning of June and I'm done with four books. It's such a lovely feeling.
Apparently the man who began IKEA still runs/owns it today. Okay, so maybe he is a skeezy old man. But does that mean I can't pursue him? I mean, come on! A multimillionaire who loves furniture?! Where can one go wrong. Now before you start singing the Anna Nicole song at me, and judging me left and right, let me say that I am largely kidding. However, it is amusing to me that he is Swedish. Because then we just go back to my good old Scandanavian theme. Granted weird birthday guy wasn't Swedish, he was Norwegian... but whatever. They're cold, they're blond, they speak weird languages...
The brother graduates from high school this weekend - he went to prom last night. We'll be back down here next week for some roller coaster adventures. I'm pretty souped. No big ideas as of yet as to what I should get him for graduation. I suppose one could argue (as he does, often) that I still owe him a birthday present... from January. I'm such a bad sister...
The Children's Theatre stuff is still going. I'm stage managing Oklahoma! until August. And, ps, if anyone is in the area and wants to be in a musical, please come audition tonight. Thomas Jefferson Middle School and Community Center off of Glebe Road. 7-9. You're pretty much guaranteed a call back at least. We haven't had enough people audition.
ALSO, to the Rhode Island crew... I think I'll be able to go OUT on Saturday night while I'm home... Any one up for beverages?? Let me know.
I suppose I should go see if there's anything else for me to do here at work. Probably not. I do my tasks too quickly, and then I have nothing to do. The trials and tribulations of being a good worker. eh.
