Love means so many different things to so many different people, it's hard to define it.
Love for a life partner is about just that, partnership, I got your back, you got mine you and me against the world. It's about acceptance of the whole person, even if they chew too loud, snap their gum, scratch themselves in indiscreet places, or fart under the covers. You don't care, cause you love the whole person. Your day isn't complete until you've shared it with them.
Love for your children is beyond unconditional, they are part of your body, part of your soul, when they get older, they even can become friends. You would die for your children, and no matter how old they get, you'd kill anyone who tried to harm them.
Love for friends, is also unconditional. The best way to see how much of a friend they are is to call and ask them to bring a shovel. If they don't ask any questions, THAT is a true friend. LOL!
Love for animals is yet another thing, especially dogs, because they love you no matter what. Even if you accidentally step on their tail. They yelp, jump up and start licking you. Gotta love them.
