Back in the saddle again?
So I just finished making icons for this week's contest at dreamoftomarrow and I have to say it felt kind of good to be back at making them. In some ways I missed making icons while druidmage was home, but I know I needed the break as well.
I know before he came home (and while he was home) I had been feeling less than inspired, and even the icons I made for this week aren't my best. It was interesting to see how few icons there were entered into the contests while I was gone. Then again this is a busy time of year.
I'm beginning to think that dreamoftomarrow may not make it to its third anniversary. We've skipped almost as many challenges since the second anniversary as we skipped in year one and year two combined. Many of the challenges have been behind schedule and then have to be extended due to lack of entries.
The sad thing is there are 100 members in the community (holy cow when did that happen?), but only a few that regularly make icons every week. Voting is a little better, but even then it's usually the same handful of people.
Oh well nothing I can really do, except try to keep it "breathing" on my weeks.
