staff duty sucks
Having the hubby work staff duty really sucks. Today is the second time in recent weeks that he's gotten picked. Last time it was for Brigade, this time it's for Batallion. If that wasn't bad enough, when the hubby got home yesterday there was a notice on the door from housing letting us know that at some point today the water will be shut off for about 4 HOURS to try and fix a leak. They didn't even say when the shut off would begin. How STUPID is that? So far it's still on.
I really miss having the hubby come home for lunch and then home from work on staff duty days because that's when I get a little break from the munchkin's antics and get to have adult conversations. Plus there's the fact that staff duty effectively pulls him away for two days, the actual 24 hours on duty itself and then the next day when he is recovering.
Hopefully the four day pass for next weekend will be approved so we can go visit and see the new baby. It would be great to get away from the area for a few days.
