Gen Con was full of awesome! : )

Okay, so we just got back from Gen Con. We were only able to go for a day, but still it was a rocking day. We dropped Bryce off with friends on the way down and he stayed with them for a full two days. He had a blast and didn't miss us even a little. :) Dan had to go do inventory at one of his stores on Wed (after he bought the badges thank goodness or we'd have spent the morning in insanely long line), so he dropped me off at the hotel for a few hours of quiet time all to myself, which of course I was pretty happy about.
Thursday we made sure to get there about a half hour before the dealers room opened, so we were waiting to go in as soon as the doors opened. I, of course, was on a mission. I wanted my copy of Pathfinder and wasn't to be distracted by anything else until I had it in my hands. We were there soon enough to only have to wait in line at the Paizo booth for about twenty minutes to buy my copy. And it's autographed! :)
Having procured the book of Awesome, I was ready to actually pay attention to everything else going on around me. It was so cool. It was like Christmas in August. We spent so much money we don't have. Actually it was more like Christmas when I was little and was just all excited about the cool new toys. :) We each got two new sets of dice, and I got a mini for my half-succubus bard, oh and I also got a big purple Paizo d20, and they were giving out buttons so I have one of those. It has the grey maiden picture on it which is so cool. We also got a dice tray so no more chasing down stray d6s every time I cast fireball. :) And I got three Nene Thomas prints. They are oh so expensive, but oh so worth it. Honestly we got a pretty good deal. It was three for $100. I also bought a copy of the Babylon 5 RPG for five bucks. Don't know if I'm gonna like that, but I figured that was a low enough price to be worth getting it and seeing. After a long day of shopping, we got given free tickets to go and see Serenity. One of the local businesses was sponsoring the showing at the movie theater in the mall attached to the convention center.

Next year I want to go for more days so I actually get to play in some games. :)
