Everything is dependent upon the question... and then the answer you fall for.

For example - if your question could be - To whom am I actually answerable? Answer could be one one word, few words or may be few statements. But the moment you have clarity on it, your thoughts will realign, your actions will automatically change. But sometimes we are either too comfortable or damn too afraid to bring ourselves to face the question(s).

My answer to the question in first line would be - to my family, to my coming generation and to the current society I live in. How does this shape my thought process then? I wouldn't go overboard with self-damage through reckless actions if I feel I am answerable to family and my coming generation. I wouldn't want to play part in damaging ecosystem on planet earth if I am answerable to the society and coming generation. I wouldn't want to be part of the tools that degrade the society's collective thinking and ability to coexist with each other.

On the other hand, if my answer to the question in first line is - to myself,  to my boss and to my organization. Then the thought process would change to become more self centred and narcissist. I would want to keep my boss happy by making him/her look good in front of his/her boss by trying make more profit and more visibility for the organization by exploiting every available natural resources (humans included) with a constant push for gratification in wealth and kind for myself in return from the boss and/or organization.

Finding the answers will be your journey in your own life. At the end of the day, we can also chose to be not answerable or just shrug back at the family, at the coming generation or the society when they ask - what the f*** did you do to mess up everything so grossly for us to even repair things back?!
