Okay, so I got tempted yet again to buy two more phones. Coolpad 7268 (AKA Spice Mi-496) started giving problem in the power button and the top left screen of ZTE Blade G2 cracked a month ago. Bought Intex Cloud Flash 4G for sis and Coolpad Note 3 for mom. But Mom refused to take Note 3 citing it is too big for her. She has taken up my Redmi 1S loaded with Android Marshmallow based CM13. Now I am loaded with mixed feeling about having Note 3. There's happiness but there's guilt as well, probably knowing beforehand what mom was going to do about new phone purchase. It kind of looks like tiny conspiracy to get rid of Redmi 1S and having my hands on Note 3 :(
Coming back to these two black beauties from Intex and Coolpad, they were best of the lot on price to performance parameters. The good thing about Intex variant being that it has gorilla glass on both front and back, is loaded with 64 bit MTK 6753 octacore 1.3 GHz, 2GB RAM, 16 GB ROM. It's the most beautiful phone of the three current phones that we have. And yeah, its Antutu score is 5000 more than Coolpad Note 3 despite Note 3 boasting 3 GB of RAM. Also the bloatware in Intex is way lower in count than Coolpad. Price? Intex came in effective price of 6650 bucks post 5% cashback and Coolpad in effective price of 5740 post 10% cashback. Specs of both phones are listed here

It was an open seal box that was delivered with all accessories intact including even the protective film. Not a single scratch anywhere. No issues with performance either. Have tested almost everything on note 3 since morning and haven't found anything worth whining about. The supplied Earphones are perfect as well :P. Okay, just one small whining - The warranty for refurbished phone are said to be 6 months instead of 1 year. Point about these phones and tablets are that getting warranty support is getting tougher by day. Almost everything is blamed upon as some sort of physical damage. And even otherwise they refuse to acknowledge issues to the best possible extent. Mohsin shared his experience of trying to get 4G sim slot issue with Xiaomi support centre. They did not help him out till the end. IPS screens breakup quite fast and getting screen replaced is as costly as buying a new phone with better specs. So this loss of 6 months of warranty duration, hopefully, won't come back to bite me. ZTE Blade G2 and Spice Mi-496 phones worked flawlessly for 2 years, and they probably would have continued if it weren't for screen crack and the power button issue. Thank you, ZTE and Spice/Coolpad. Your phones were lovely and have served for more than 30 months each.
