11++

By midnight, I would have completed 11 years with C-DAC (Formerly NCST (Formerly-- NCSDCT)). Lot's been written about how's the journey has been. So no plans of writing memoirs in this blog post. Let me try something else for a change. How about trying to do build some prediction models of how the 12th year will be? Some of these definitely are my plans, some of these just wishful thinking. Feel free to pitch in with some ideas or expectations that you have from me. Needless to say that I will try my best to ditch them :P. But then you never know how unpredictable I could turn out to be on a given day. Take your chances. heh heh...

Establishing middle management: This we learned from the history. One reason why NCST lost its brand to its counterpart, apart from the political turmoil of that era, was obvious lack of faith of its senior management on the middle management. We have consciously tried not to repeat that history in the group. We got some base but now that needs to be strengthened further and further. I would love to be part of that process. Might not turn out to be tough one especially when you have motivated people around you.

Getting out of the gap filling role: One of the things that I directly or indirectly ended up doing across years was to play role of gap filler. While that smoothen out things for project, people and organization, I gotta get out of that habit. My current commitments on multiple fronts doesn't give me luxury of time to continue as gap filler.

That's all I have thought for now. Whatever extra comes in, will be taken as bonus :)
