I do believe that everyone is born genius, creative and innocent. Somewhere down the line they misplace it and lose it along the way. I hope Yashika doesn't lose her ingenuity over time. Mom shared two conversations which involved her.
During one conversation Didi was narrating one incident that happened at home. Yashika was drawing something using a pen on her foot. On asking her what she was doing, she replied that she is drawing a mosquito. Everyone were surprised to hear an answer like that. They asked her why is she doing so. She replies - "There are too many mosquitoes in house. They won't come to me on seeing that already someone from their clan is on my feet.". Surely it gave giggles to everyone for quite long time. But the most amazing thing which I felt about her was that she was trying to solve some problem with whatever resource she was having. Instead of trying to chase and hunt them down, she was very nicely trying out ways of avoiding them. Nice!
As for the innocence and naughty thingy, she seems to be doing fairly well in that too. Here is another incident where mom was talking to her on phone. After the regular formal (school, play etc), she came down to business of updating mom.
Yashika: "Nani, hum palang khidki kae paas lae aaye hain... " ("Granny, we have shifted bed close to window")
Nani: "Kyon? Kya pani tapakne laga hain?" ("Why? has leaking started in house?")
Yashika: "Haa" ("Yes")
Nani: "Phir baathroom kaise jaate hau?" ("But then how do people reach bathroom?")
Yashika: "Side sae jaate hain na..." ("There is an small opening that gives us path")
[In between, it starts raining]
Yashika: *in loud tone* "Arey koi aake khidki band karo. Mein bheeg rahi hoon na" ("Someone close the window. Ain't I getting wet?")
Didi: "Khud kyon nahin band kar rahe?" ("Why aren't you closing it?")
Yashika: *grinning* "Nani sae baat kar rahi hoon na!" ("Am talking to granny na :P")
The way mom was narrating it to me, it started my day on a laughing note. Kids are fun :)
