There was a road

Dec 08, 2007 22:06

I chose my road, my ways
The choices I made were laid
ages ago limited to my tools
hiding behind those charming smiles

So I started walking down that road
the one that I chose
the one that I kept building
as the time passed by

My friends waved at me
asking me to switch over
All I did was to smile back
walking down bare footed on my soft ground

Then one friend came over to walk
over that unknown road with me
Matching step with steps and pace with pace
trying move me out of my road

That road was the only thing I had made
to leave it was to lose my way
Ah! and so i lived my nightmare
suddenly lost with my ways

I divided my soul and kissed it good bye
with trembling hands, I left it all
beneath those leaves n that soil
sorry, could not protect you from erosions

I look at sky to thank him
I look at sky to question him
I look at sky to search for that
one star that he built for me

All I need now is to find
my way back to home
Like they say, the greatest journey
is the one that takes you home
