"Fuck the Police, I'm Zanta!"
While attending a recent event at Dundas Square, I was distracted from the activity on stage when I heard someone scream "hey! I love you! Yeah!"
It was our old pal Zanta, boldly defying a supposed CHUM restraining order that he says barred him from being anywhere in the downtown core or on the subway.
When asked abut his cheeky behaviour and running roughshod over the law, Zanta had but this to say:
"Fuck the police. They can't do shit. I'm too famous. I'm Zanta!"
Maybe he was right, as there was a cop watching us but doing nothing from a mere 30 feet away. But maybe the police are just trying to get on his good side for when he runs this shit. According to Wikipedia, Zanta is planning to run for Toronto mayor in 2010. Mind you, it also says he is not drunk or on drugs but "in character."
