inspired by sonata arctica

o' beautiful sun, forsake me not
though time grows old, it fails to free me
for though misunderstood passion burned
soaked in your rays i still wish to be

rosewood tips caress my soul
and eyes of the same pierce my heart
ivory rays shine on my day
why oh why did we have to part?

but now the moon has taken my hand
and soothed me down to earth
though in heaven i thought i was,
a new feeling has been given birth

rosewood tips and eyes of the same
ivory rays are both in common
but be fooled not, mistake this not
all differences lie within

the sun with her beauty, shimmering light
the pretty moon with her natural glow
the daytime i will not soon forget
and never again will the same love flow
