Waiting Room

Jun 19, 2004 10:24

I'm here in some building (forgive me for my short term memory), accessing computer # 18, surfing the net, and obviously, writing this livejournal entry.

I finished Foreign Filipino class scheduled from 9 to 12 every Saturday, like more than an hour ago and right now, I'm just waiting for Bek to get out to go to Tanya's Mongolia Barbeque thing.

Point is, I made it through my first week of college. It ain't that bad after all. I have never been late for any single class as I make sure that I leave my house at least an hour before the bell rings. And upon getting my homework, I do it instantly, so as not to cram the day before.

Although I get tired easily nowadays and become drowzy at around 1230 am (1230! I slept at 7 am almost everyday during the summer, and before that... 3 am during my highschool days!) Yes, maybe my insomnia is finally disappearing and it's all finally catching up to me. Thank God!

We still have no bench, and I don't think we'll ever find one... although there will always be the SEC Bench of Tata, Gino, and Nenzo. But it's not really the top priority in my list. I bump into so much people anyway... that you can always expect someone smoking in the pocket garden, someone hanging out in the cafeteria, a friend - old or new, or an acquaintance you can always get to know better.

And of course, there are those long waiting periods (with my four hour wait every tuesday being the longest) that I thought, at first, to be very hassling. Not at all... you can actually accomplish a lot of things during those by-the-hour breaks, and when you're with your friends, time flies like woah. I mean on my first four-hour break, I hung out in the pocket garden with some friends, and afterwards, ate in Shakeys with some other friends. God froshies, watch out for the 15-pound gain everyone is bound to have, except for probably, ms.chan or bellibalu, or the biba hat beb, or ms.bulate or something.

Oh well... case to point, i survived my first week in college. And one thing's for sure, You're right Ees, there's really nothing to be apprehensive about. It's highschool, co-ed. hehe.
