Holiday Update
I'm having fun here in Statesville so far. We have so much goodies to eat that we've got and christmas is in a few days; we're having a fried turkey, something I've never had. We went to the new mall today outside of charlotte and it was fun, b/c I got to go to the Delias store and have andy buy me something. We also ate at this really good Italian restaurant. Other than that we've just been chillin around here. The other day we went to Mooresville and I got Spanky a new filter. She did rather well on this trip and I think she's adapted to her temporary home. The reason why I got her a new filter was the old one was leaking, so i got one that goes in the tank (well, giant rubbermaid container) and now she's in love with it. She sleeps under it, she sits near it, I think it's b/c of the vibrations. She also enjoys sleeping half on and half off the basking platform. Taffy the dog is very confused about spanky. She keeps sniffing around and staring at her and then she'll back off and start whimpering. I don't think she knows if it's a friend or an enemy. Oh well. I've also watched a few movies (Rebel w/out a cause, East of Eden, Hitch, Mr and Mrs Smith (which wasn't good but I wasn't paying attention but from what I saw it was slow)) and read the book A million little Pieces. I saw the book on Oprah and she had the author James Frey on a while back and I was interested in reading it. It was a really really good book despite being about drugs abuse/alcoholism/recovery. I'm in the process of reading the sequel My friend Leonard. That's really all that's been going on, I can't wait until Christmas, and then on the 27th I'm going back to Wilmington to be w/my family! Too bad that it's not supposed to snow here until after I leave :( Oh well.
