Another cross-stitch project finished
I finished some Christmas ornaments all by myself! :)
And a close-up:
I wish they looked as nice as they do on the front of the leaflet, but I'm pretty happy with them. I did all the finishing with acid-free mat board and hand-sewing, because I didn't want to use anything that might damage the fabric over time. (Of course, there's kitty, and I presume we'll have kids someday, so it was probably a waste of time. :) )
I also made the cords to go around the outside. I was going to weave them into the insides of the ornaments, but then I thought that they might come in handy someday, should I want to hang them somewhere other than on the tree, so I left them. I can always wind them around the tree branch if that's where I decide to hang them, and this leaves more flexibility.
