Time they say cured all ills, and while time (or at least a good night's rest) hadn't cured the immediate ill of being stuck in the body of one married former space captain, it had made Paige significantly more comfortable with the idea of it. She wasn't about to opt-in for any gender reassignment surgeries anytime soon, but she wasn't going to spend the rest of her time moping. Besides, the body she was in didn't exactly seem disposed to moping.
In fact, it seemed to kind of like this body didn't want to do anything that caused it to stray too far from Serenity. Which was kind of all right, but it made finding herself (literally) really hard. After fighting the parts of herself that were fighting whole-heartedly against, Paige finally started up the path to the compound, figuring that if nothing else, chances were that she, him, they would be somewhere up there.
