Soooo I'm finally updating. I hate this feeling though ... Like it's been so long that I've updated that there's so much I want to write about but writing about it now won't be as effective had I written about it when the event happened. Aiiii ... So I've decided to just forget it and write about what's happening now. If I feel like it later maybe I'll write about what's happened in my life for the past several months ... Ya right. Moving on ...
I had my last exam on Wednesday. Feel like I did pretty bad in most of them ... hoping I get at least a B in all my classes. Hoping hoping ... Hahahaha ... This entire semester has been comprised of laziness, procrastination, cheating, and freeloading. We'll see what happens next semester. Seriously have to kick this habit.
Work today was boring. I think April's been really lazy to blog so I'll be the first to mention. She and I both got hired at Megabyte. Finally, a job related to my field. Hahaha ... The way we got hired though is a lot more funny and interesting but I'm too lazy to go into detail. Anyway, she got hired for sales and I got hired for accounting. Yes I know what you're thinking ... Accounting??? for a compsci major??? That's exactly what I thought but my Auntie's 2cents helped me to see it in a different light. She told me that accounting is actually good experience for me. First of all, Megabyte is just now establishing a new accounting system so I'll be there from the way beginning of this new system. This gives me hands-on experience on software. Aaaand ... my Auntie said that in the future I may be writing similar programs and this job will help me in doing that since I'll understand the logics and I'll already know the basics of what the program is to do ... etc. etc. Hahaha ... sounds all good except for the fact I didn't learn jack crap in my C++ class. Uuuuuughhh ... Why can't these professors just retire already. Uuuuuuuugh ... Anyway, I just got a dollar raise at my work so that's what was somewhat holding me back. I talked to the lady though and she was willing to start me at $7 instead of their regular starting $6. So basically I'm getting 50 cents less than what I'm getting at my work now (at my work I'm getting paid $7.50). She helped me feel better though by reassuring me that she gives raises fast especially if we do our job well etc. etc. So happy she gave me $7 'cause I really wanted to quit my job. It's lonely there and the work I do doesn't interest me. At least at Megabyte I have people to talk to (April) ... people who SPEAK ENGLISH for that matter. Yes the pay here on Guam sucks ass. Just curious, what's the minimum wage there where all you guys live? Here on Guam it's $5.15. Hmmm ... the lady at Megabyte actually wanted me to start today but I didn't want to 'cause I felt bad for my work so I'm giving my work the standard two weeks notice and start Megabyte on June 6. After I told my lady boss about my resignation on Friday she tried to dissuade me for an hour and half from quitting. Why does she have to give me such a hard time? Errrrr ... Pfffft ...
And on a last note I had Capricciosa for lunch yesterday ... calamari in squid ink sauce spaghetti. Yup. Remember that y'all? Ya Jun never tried it so we ordered that even though I wanted to test their spicy seafood linguine. Next time ... which will probably be very far from now 'cause Capricciosa only comes once in a blue moon. For dinner today we ate at Red Dragon ... kon pao chicken and honey walnut shrimp. Damn it. I need to stop spending. Seriously. I'm spending money I don't have. Bad bad bad ... Think bills Coleen .. biiiiiilllllls ... Okay ... I think I will end this now.
I will leave you with two old pictures from high school. Uri's comment about my pics at Planet made me want to post them up. Heehee ... Have fun!
