I just spent an hour watching a special on the Discovery channel ablout Sherlock Holmes. It was really interesting, they were explaining how the character was modeled after a doctor in real life who worked on the Jack the Ripper case and of course anything involving THAT amuses me to hellish delight.
I am infatuated with the Ripper case, seriously. I could watch the same program over and over and still be completelly enthralled. I have, in fact, watched the history channel program like 5 times at least, they need to show it more.
I've read entire webpages for hours, I've oggled (but haven't bought YET) books over the entire case (I was tempted this weekend, but wanted a Mario Puzo and a novel about Hitler more.... eh heh ^^;;) the only reasons I think I could stand From Hell as long as I did are that Johnny Depp is hot and the actual facts they threw into the movie about the case kept my attention.
I'm seriously going to grow up and become a Ripperologist. e_e egads.
