I barely knew him but I thought he was like a god anyway. I thought he was so cool, he was so himself and unlike anyone else.... And he's dead. Dickie, David Dickens, is dead.
I can't believe it. It doesn't make sense.
He is going to make whatever comes next that much cooler. I wish I could have known him better than the few days I was around him this year. Nothing will ever be the same without him here, but at least he will be missed and celebrated because that's who he was. Even the few days I was around him for only a little while made me respect him so much and look up to him. He was creative, talented, a great fighter....
