Model Patient!
Today, I had my first appointment of the New Year with Dr. Hausner, my cardiologist. It was the first appointment I've had with her since I returned to work. I was hoping that she believed the month had gone well.
Dr. Hausner did. I'm not over the whole string of events of November & December, nor will I be for some time, but ad astra per aspera, & my progress is suitable. She changed my meds slightly: One down, one up (at my discretion, even!), one switch of a type of pills for another, starting next week. My pericardium is no longer retaining fluids, which is good-I do not want to go back to the hospital for a sequel of last month, or even a milder second episode of the same show.
No word on cardiac therapy. We'll talk about it next month. Since my new employer's health insurance differs greatly from the last one's, I think it's just as well that we wait.
