Stressed a little
The eyes of the world were focussed on the Mall this weekend, but a lot of people who live in the DC area were otherwise inclined. Elizabeth & I stayed in, most of the time. The one exception was yesterday evening, when we went to celebrate my birthday a couple of days ahead of time with David. I kept the worst part of my sore shoulders at bay with Tylenol, & we had a good time at Guapo's, a Mexican place we've patronized for ages.
This weekend's taught me a couple of lessons. One of them is that I've really become sensitive to the cold. Yesterday evening was in the mid-thirties, but it felt colder to me. I'm not looking forward to the rest of the weather this week, which will be colder still. The other is that I probably have been pushing myself too hard. The soreness in my shoulders is due to stress, & I might be coming down with a cold, too. If I still feel like this tomorrow, I may call in. If I'm getting a cold, nobody else needs it.
