My first full work week ended well. I don't think I'm at full strength, but I think I'm closer to it than I was on the day after New Year's. If this continues, I'll be closer still on Monday.
This Friday was a planetarium show night, the first one I could get to after my operations-the December show was right on the heels of my second operation. It's a perennial favorite among the kids, "Fancy Nancy" nights, but I'm not about to complain when it brings in a huge audience, some of whom have never considered a planetarium show to be something their kids could look forward to. We had over 120 purchased seats on Friday night alone, plus dozens of seats in both the Sat. morning & Sat. afternoon shows. Considering the kind of competition which the planetarium faces, I think that's pretty good.
Patty-the planetarium director-& I also had a chance to talk about April's show & the pre-show activity on parallax. Elizabeth put together some concepts earlier in the week. Patty really liked them, so we'll move forward.
Saturday saw another milestone: The first time I wore a button-down shirt for an entire day. I had to protect my scar with an unfolded gauze pad, but that seems to have done the trick. I'll give it a rest on Saunday, but I think I'll go for it again on Monday.
