Just when you think everything is fine and dandy...
You find out that the class you need to enroll in over the summer has only 8/50 spots left, and you don't have your enrolling information because UCSB is bitches and take a long time to mail that shit (it's been over two weeks.) I emailed them in a panicked state, but what can they do? Tell me it's on the way? I asked them to email it to me and even provided the last four digits of my social, but I have a feeling that won't work. It seems like exceptions are rarely made in the policy-bogged UC system. Especially when it's something you can't petition. Fucking petitions.
Regardless of whether or not I get into this class I will be going to school in Barcelona next year. The only issue is whether or not the econ. department is going to be happy about me skipping a year in what is supposed to be a quarterly sequence. Thanks a lot UCSB!!
