Hey all. Lots to post about, I'll get to that next week (highlights: I have a roommate and I turned 26). But I just want to give a general invite for the final three shows of my Fringe show, for those of you who aren't Fringed out.
I've become friends with sketch-comedy team
The Waitstaff and they invited me on board for "Waitstaff Wit' : an evening of enlightening monologues." I wrote myself a monologue satirizing a certain kind of theatre person. There's also a dentist who does NOT recommend Crest Toothpaste, a tabby cat hatching a plot against the new baby in the family, an art teacher with very high expectations, and many more.
Here's a review (she's no Frank Rich, but she enjoyed herself). It's just under an hour. Tix are $15. And you can EAT FOOD and DRINK ALCOHOL *DURING* the show!
Final shows are Sunday (tomorrow) at 9pm, and Tuesday and Wednesday (the 9th and 10th) at 9pm, at L'etage Cabaret (it's above the Creperie on the NW corner of 6th and Bainbridge). So far we haven't been selling out, but if you want tix in advance you can
buy online or call the Fringe box office. There's a trio of Durang plays in the same space at 7:30 that's amusing as well.
There's a hilarious picture (currently my facebook icon) of me in a hideous orange shirt. I don't think I can post it here, my LJ account isn't cool enough. Whatev'.
Sorry I've been AWOL, I'll catch up on your journals next week as well.
OKAYBYE.
