An
interesting article, shamelessly stolen from
gwodder (thanks for bringing that to my attention, buddy). The premise is that a highly religious society is correlated with higher levels of various "social ills."
I wish the article had gone more into the link the study claims. It seems a bit of a stretch to be "proof," especially as the study appeared to be the US vs. most other other developed democracies. But still.

Hmm. I guess I haven't updated in more than a month and a half. Well: "The Why" closed, we had a nice talkback with the playwright after the final performance. I had a week off before going back into rehearsals, and I'm now about a week away from opening
The Nutcracker, the holiday show at Curio. I play Drosselmeier, and very briefly I also play a very bitter, hilarious parrot. It's a stage adaptation of the same (rather strange and fantastical) story by ETA Hoffman that inspired the ballet that ballet companies perform to death to stay afloat.
Thanksgiving was nice. Low-key, with the right quantity of relatives.
Jobs are going fine. Eastern State Penitentiary is closing their "regular season" this Friday. They'll be open for three tours a day over the winter (for the first time ever), but they only need a skeleton crew for that, so I won't be working much until next season starts.
I'm almost done with my class, too. I must sleep now, but soon I will totally write a long, exclusive entry (don't worry,
shakinros, it'll be worth the wait, it's a really interesting class).
January/February will be full of free time. I get a break from being directly involved in a show, and I won't have a class, and I'll only really have one job, so I'll have plenty of time and energy to prepare for "What the Butler Saw."
