jobs and taxes

~After the opera (which is going well), I will be reverse-commuting for 20 hours per week as the Personal Assistant to the Producing Artistic Director.  This theatre is blocks from where I grew up, and my first ever internship, post-college job, etc.  I love this little place, and since I first associated with them in the summer of 1999, they've advanced by light-years.

It's a decent wage (which surprised me), will let me hang out with my parents more often, will leave me my evenings and weekends (plus some weekday hours) free on a regular basis (for eventual directing and acting, or other projects), it's long term (so assuming things work out, I could be free from the hustle of work for a while), and it should be useful experience if I ever run a theatre company.  So once again, I have thwarted the ever-lurking Temp Demons.

~Almost sorted out with these pesky Philadelphia taxes.  Educational experience, *ahem.*  Also finished first round of PA and Federal estimated taxes.

~I don't think I'm going to bother updating about my trip this many weeks after the fact.

~I'm less intimidated on OkCupid these days.  Wrote a message the other day.  No response yet (naturally).  And someone else on there initiated an IM conversation with me.  Eh.

~I'd like you all to take a moment to ponder why there is so much ICE HOCKEY coverage on the OUTDOOR LIFE NETWORK.
