as I walk this land of broken dreams

Stacy came over last night and we watched House of Sand and Fog and Girl with a Pearl Earring. I wouldn't even bother with House of Sand and Fog if you haven't read the book. Actually, if you read the book, don't bother seeing it anyway because they leave out key parts and it will just bother you. Girl with a Pearl Earring was actually pretty good, maybe it was just Colin Firth. He can do no wrong.
Currently, the agents are all spread out. I'm the only one holding it down here in Oakland.
I was thinking about the commercials they have in the UK. They really take drunk driving and all that stuff seriously over there. You know how our commercials are like a little kid sitting by a fence and it says something like "just tell your little brother you couldn't pick him up because you were getting stoned. He'll understand." Over there, they have this cute little boy playing soccer with his dad. This boy is so damn cute, and you think it would be a commercial for some sort of allergie medicine. All of a sudden a car drives onto the field and runs over the kid. Then you see the father holding his head child and the drunk driver is all bloody and walking around. Intense right? Well, we saw another one before Harry Potter. There is this girl on cribs and she's showing her house and you get the idea that she's really rich. Then she goes, "let me show you my pool" and then the screen gets really blury and things happen really quickly. You see the same girl in a school uniform being hit by a car and laying dead on the street and the words flash "LIVE YOUR LIFE BEFORE YOU DIE" or something.
Tomorrow I start volunteering at my dance studio with all those little vermin children. I need to get my hours in though, so I guess I should be thankful to them. And of course I have my permit test on Tuesday, and my John Kerry breakfast on wednesday.
