Clinton declared June Pride month back in 2000: http://usgovinfo.about.com/library/weekly/blgaylesproc.htm . Does the current president have to re-declare it each year?

I believe, barring an act of congress, making it permanent, it's a one off.

I don't believe Bush did it, at all.

:( I'm still waiting for him to do something of actual substance for LGBT rights. He still hasn't fulfilled his promise to repeal DADT, which he could also do by the stroke of a pen if he wanted to.

Yes, these are just words. DADT, and of course his stance on same sex marriage, for starters, shows that he just made a little speech of no substance whatsoever. I have less and less faith in the man every month. I just wanted to believe.
