Well, within one day of making that resolution, I promptly skip two days. That went well!
So here's what I'm going to do now:
1) Every day, unless I have very good reason for missing it, I WILL post five things I did that day.
2) I will also post three things to do the next day. I cannot use those three things on my list of five, even if I accomplish them. The five ones have to be five NEW ones.
3) One of the three things each day will be to post the next day.
4) If I end up not doing one of my three things, I must make a note of this.
5) If I miss any of the three things, or if I miss a day of posting, and don't provide an adequate reason, the first person to comment gets to demand that I do something else of their choice. It cannot involve physical danger, nudity, or copious amounts of money--and keep in mind that for me, anything over twenty bucks is copious--but other than that, I will do it.
So then....
Today:
- I successfuly trained Akinator to consistently recognize Ashling on the first try.
- I started a new book, a very cute modern high school retelling of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
- I made tuna helper. It was tasty.
- I presented to my mother the idea of taking a road trip to New Jersey in August instead of flying, and was met with surprisingly little disapproval, given that I'm asking to drive fifteen hours to somewhere I've never been, with someone I've never met in person before.
- Had an absurdly persistent caffiene craving. Sulked a lot about it, but did not break down and buy a soda. Felt pleased. And thirsty. Success was likely partially due to the knowledge that nothing's open past nine around here.
Tomorrow:
- I will post.
- I will reply to Saffron.
- I will do laundry.
