AHAHAHA YES. I CAN GO TO JAPAN FOR THE WINTER VACATION.
...I hope. I'm looking for cheap tickets on the net right now like a starved person looking for leftover food in trash cans, but no matter how much I look the cheapest is like $1030, tax included. The price for gas is retarded, though. $200 just for gas? And they tell you it's a cheap ticket for $700, but when you add it all up it ends up as $1000+. That is so unfair. I think I'll have to go with the $1030 one on United Airlines, though. There's just nothing below a grand. WHYYYYYY!! And I'm probably going to use, like, another $1000 at Japan for shopping so that's gonna be like a $2000 trip for winter vacation I think. I need to go shopping in Japan. I am one expensive girl. :D:D:D:D:D So far, I need to buy:
- Clothes (I'm freezing to death in California right now. I desperately need a light coat or something. And I swear to myself not to buy any clothes in America anymore.)
- Shoes (You know, Japan unexpectedly had a lot of cute shoes for super cheap.)
- Yamahiba Doujins Manga (I need to stock up. I must have been crazy to sell off so many stacks of manga in Japan. WHY ARE THEY SO EXPENSIVE HERE)
- Snacks (American snacks = way too much sugar)
- Food
- Stationery (Why do they have to sell everything in bulks here? What if you just want a single blue highlighter or something? And I'm still going to go with Japanese-style studying, the miraculous RED SHEETS. They're genius, now that I look back. You just have to cover up the page with a red sheet and you've got a bunch of fill-in-the-blanks.)
- Glasses (I need stronger glasses. D: They're cheap, and they're made in like 30 minutes.)
That's all I can think of right now. And I need to think of San Francisco/US souvenirs. I'm thinking of See's chocolates, and I suck again for not being able to think of anything else. :D I'm really excited though. I just called a friend yesterday morning (at 4 am, but you know how fickle the time differences are) and I'm making her let me stay at her house. :P Hope to house hop a lot, too. I'll probably barge into everyone's house and go 'let me iiiiiiin!!'
Well. I need to study for my biology test, instead of roaming around the internet for cheaper tickets. I will surrender now. I think I've looked at like 20+ both English and Japanese airline ticket sites. And I kinda busted the touchpad of my dad's laptop the other day looking for tickets, so I guess that's not really good. I'd been trying to surf my regular sites (lj, mixi, e-mail, etc) with my keyboard, but it got pretty annoying after the first few seconds and it ended up with me banging on the keyboard in frustration and then getting scolded by my mom. My dad brought over a mouse from work though, so now the keyboards are free of my merciless banging.
