Moving on up....
So today I was offered a new job position in Washington DC. The pay would be a little more than I'm currently making. The job would be something that I would probably enjoy, although I honestly enjoy my job right now.
Pros:
- New city...change
- Something different job-wise, although related to what I currently do
- I like DC and have some friends there already
Cons:
- It's a hella expensive place to live when compared to Des Moines
- I actually don't mind living where I'm at right now
- The housing market sucks big time. I would have a hard time selling my current place and I doubt that I would be able to afford anything comparable in DC
- The job would be more stress, although it would also be a good stepping stone
- Traffic sucks ass
Decisions, decisions....
I need some advice dammit! What do you boys think I should do?
Last night Dougie and I went on a tour of downtown Des Moines lofts that were for sale. It was put on by the realtors, and the group consisted of all gay men. They provided snackies and drinks and two chartered limo-buses to cart us around. Sweet jesus...there is nothing more fun than a bus load of drunk fags! =)
I didn't buy a loft...but if I would have had one more drinky, I just may have.
