I Hooked Up on Craig's List!
Well...not that kinda hooking up you dirty birds.
I've decided that I need to get rid of the sofa and recliner that I've had for 10+ years and get something a little more contemporary. I bought my current set quite a few years back, but with only Blanche and I enjoying their comforts, they have lasted and lasted long past their stylish expiration date.
I know...I know...how 90's could I be? *blarg*
But with the income tax refund safely within my bank account, I've opted to update to something a little more contemporary. I think I'm going to upgrade to some leather furniture.
Anywho, I thought that I would try listing my former furniture for a hundred bucks on Craig's list with a picture. Within 15 minutes it was sold. =) Perchance it is hipper than I thought? The guy is coming to pick it up on Tuesday night. It will be good to clear the space and make room for something new.
It finally warmed up here in Iowa this weekend past! It hit the balmy 40's and the snow has begun to recede. Winter here started before Thanksgiving, and to be honest, I'm over it. One more month dammit...
In other news:
- We had another poker night at my place last week and I won! YAY! My strategy is to keep the martini's flowing and pretty soon the boys get sloppy. ;)
- I'm having a pretty tough time working through Ferris Wheel Guy moving. I love the bastard and it's breaking my heart knowing that he is so far away.
- Still haven't heard about the jobs that I've interviewed for. I was told that 3 people applied for 2 openings, but unfortunately the two others were the two that I figured would kick my ass.
- ZOMFG! Saw Cloverfield this weekend, and loved it! I refuse to be all anal and demand closure...
Ok...enough kvetching for one night. =)
