I imagine that very few people are susceptible to being picked up by customers at work. It's almost sad when people try it.

It really is a sad thing, and working in a store where guys are the majority of customers, i figure this will not be the only time.

Other than it being potentially awkward for the employee to walk away from the customer, I guess I haven't really understood why it was not acceptable.

Then again, it's not something I do very often.

Yea not only was it EXTREMELY awkward for myself, but i'm pretty sure the guy felt a little awkward too. But then again, maybe not. He was kinda weird. So maybe it didn't phase him.
