You know how sometimes people on your friend's list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you *should* already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.
Please copy mine below, erase my answers putting yours in their place then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration! One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out :)
1. First Name/Nicknames: Julie, but most if not all people call me Jules. In fact, the other day, someone called work and asked for me by my first name, and the employee said no one by the name of Julie worked there... she couldn't make the connection between my nickname and real name.
2. Age: 27
3. Location: Currently it is Portage, Michigan... but I always say Kalamazoo, because well, not many people know where Portage is, or confuse it with K-zoo.
4. Occupation: I am the 3'S.... student, server, and substitute teacher.... altho the first S is about to come to an end.
5. Partner?: Tim. He and I met a few months ago at the Up and Under. Lisa and I went to have "a" drink, Tim sent us both drinks from across the bar (way nice of him, since we were drinking high class) and then he and his friend came over to ask us to play pool. I thought I wouldn't be able to break that shy exterior, but I did, and he and I have been pretty happy ever since.
6. Kids: None
7. Brothers/Sisters: one brother, Mike, and he's pretty cool... altho, as his family, I have to call him Michael, as it is just weird sounding hearing me call him "Mike"
8. Pets: None, as I am allergic... but Tim has a collie mix named Riot. He's adorable, even tho he makes me sneeze.
9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life: I just finished my thesis! And as one of four people in my class that turned in the 60 page monster in on time, I believe I deserve extra credit ( as well as Aims, Melea, and Chris). To celebrate I am flying out to Boston to meet up with Tim, and he and I are going to drive back together. Then it's my last four credits, and the start of a job hunt as a Master's candidate!
10. Where and for what did you go to school for? I got my BA in English of Dec of 2004 from Grand Valley State. I couldn't find a job (and did not know what I really wanted to do) so I took a lot of time off, narrowed down my career goals, and enrolled in the Masters of Arts in Family Studies program at Spring Arbor. I'm almost done, with the official ceremony November 22 :)
11. Parents: I have two, who are divorced, and tend to drive each other crazy, even tho they haven't been married for almost 20 years.
12. Who are some of your closest friends? I'm guessing Mike and Jess, but that's only because they are in my kitchen right now ;)
