Tassie
Life in Tassie is going good. Went to a punk show last night in North Hobart and fuck Stand Defiant were fucking amazing!!! ARGH! I can't believe no one was dancing to them, but perhaps people in Hobart don't really like dancing? I kept thinking that if it was an Adelaide show everyone would be dancing and going crazy. That band are amazing. I wish I were in Adelaide next week when they go over to play, but unfortunately I will still be in Tassie (fortunately for Animal liberation meetings/conferences!). The other bands were good too, one I didn't get their name, and also a band called something like, The Ghost and the Storm Outside, metal band verging on being thugcore, haha they were awesome, especially the vocals! haha made me smile. Anyway, it was a good show.
I've been walking lots at different national parks and the mountains and lakes are just fucking spectacular, as one would have imagined. Next week is work experience at the Wilderness Society, which will be cool.
I can't wait to come back here again for longer so I can do more exploring. We went to a cave the other day and that was nice, except it's weird being in a beautiful "natural" surroundings/environment when there are man made things such as walkways and railings, and electrical lights... but I guess they're just there so people can enjoy it, without further adding to the destruction of the natural environment.
It's funny, these past couple days I've been listening to music that is either half conflicting with some of my beliefs, or they're present beliefs in lyrics that I haven't listened to in so long, or lyrics that no longer apply, and lyrics that could be the future! ha
Okay, time to head out.
