why science is the best subject ever...
Biology lab was fun today. We had to wrestle live crayfish into condoms (that we called "rubber sleeves"... but they were really Lifestyles Condoms). This is hard to do because they have wiggly arms and flailing pinchers. Anyway, we named our crayfish Pinchy. We had to cut a hole in the tip of the condom so that Pinchy could poke his head through. We then had to position him in this weird contraption using his condom dress as a support thing and do lots of biology stuff to him. I feel bad for Pinchy because I think i broke off one of his legs while I was helping him put his dress on.
Also we killed goldfish by sucking the water out of their little bowls and replacing the water with Mountain Dew (I'm not kidding). Fish don't like Mountain Dew. Swimmy died pretty quickly. Anyway, apparently the whole Frankenstein idea does work, because Swimmy was revived using a 9-volt battery and fresh water again. This didn't pertain at all to the lab or what we were supposed to be learning, so I don't know why we did it. But it was cool.
