Characters

Okay, so why does it seem that every single November no matter what I am writing, my characters come alive and do what they want? I mean it is a good thing because whew I am finding out a young girl can really ramble on and on when she's trying to save her brother from getting in trouble. She's already come up with her own nickname...did that on day one. She's Charlotte, I'm typing along planning on using her name Charlotte throughout the entire novel and out of nowhere BOOM, Lottie is running around the yard and playing with Sarah. First of all, no idea where Lottie came from although it is a name that was used back when my story takes place and uh, there was never any intention of her having a younger sibling, much less a sister! *tilts head* Thank goodness Lottie is giving me words!

Oh, and I MUST share this little rant. Ya know, there are people on blogs, in yahoo groups and places like that who end up using the word 'mischievious' instead of the way it is supposed to be which is 'mischievous'. Fine. And yes, I realize my grammar sucks and sometimes I get to typing fast and my spelling sucks. But this is one of those words that annoys me when it is misspelled and should not be seen somewhere in publication. A newspaper. Yes, it was in an article I was reading from a flippin' newspaper. *shocked* You would think someone somewhere would have checked it, caught it and fixed it right? Right. *shakes head* Wrong. And because of my disgust finding it in the article I did not read the rest of the article. Which sucks because it was about two holiday movies Daphne Zuniga is in and I really like her. Blah to you stupid man that cannot spell but can be published in a newspaper.
