university routes?!
OMG!!!! i just found out that SIM would not be able to offer me a bachelors in hotel management and tourism because it's only for those who have completed their diploma and i freakin found out that it's only a 3 semester bachelor course thing! omg i feel so cheated!! i'm so freaking out now and my office people are like helping me find out more about the various hotel management courses. haha they're all really nice! cos peiling used to be a career development officer in her sch and she was also a teacher as well so she has a lot of knowledge on such courses. and adrian (temp staff from tjc) keeps advising me on various uni routes. and it's awesome to hear so many different stories from my colleagues.. like yizhao who's from cambridge, denise from stanford and imperial (all these are international reknowned top notch colleges).
i REALLY want to go into hotel management. but i'm not so into the theory of it, like what NTU(NBS) is offering. i've never wanted anything THIS badly! i mean, afterall, it's not like a "3-minute-hot-degree" (translate into chinese) sorta' thing. i've wanted it since forever. i'm also interested in working for an agency which researches in global warming and the atmosphere. i've always imagined working in a hurricane emergency centre eversince i started watching the discovery channel a coupla' years back.
cornell uni is like *faints* damn expensive so that's like totally out of the question unless i can get a scholarship which is so impossible!!! i'm like SO DEAD. hahahahaha.. i know there are a lot of alternatives out there and i'm willing to fight all the wayyyyy!
