FIRST DAY OF CLASSES

Jan 18, 2005 20:48

Today I feel like I was both very productive and unproductive at the same time.
I woke up early so I could go speak to the dean about my requirements issue, and I wound up dilly dallying around until nearly 10:30 (open office hours are only from 9-11). Luckily, I got in to see the assistant dean in time, and she helped me a great deal. She explained the options I had to work with, and even told me that, looking back, putting this off might have been the right thing to do. I like to think she's right on target with that one.

From 11 until my first class at 4:30 I spent either napping or reading. I did nothing of importance all day! I need to get back in the habit of being productive, or this semester will eat me alive.

I went to my first and only class of the day- my senior film seminar with Ms. SFL. She is just as I remembered her, which was nice to have first thing off in the semester.
We are watching amazing films. This is the lineup for the course:
Vampyr
Breathless
Man with a Movie Camera
Strike
Bicycle Thief
Young Mister Lincoln
Notorious
Last Year at Marienbad
Pierrot Le Fou
L'Atalante
&
Irma Vep

Tomorrow I have a lit class and my (gd) geology course- which means I go until 9 pm at night. Hopefully they will take mercy on us (me) and let us out early. We'll see...
