Where am I?
Yesterday I was driving home and there was a cyclist in front of me. She came to a cross street and actually signaled her turn by putting out her hand. I haven't seen that done since elementary school safety courses in gym class. I can't believe someone does that in real life. I actually turned my head to look around me, wondering where I was. I was still driving down the same New Orleans street...I didn't appear to be in another reality...as far as I knew the fabric of space/time had not been torn. While it was truly bizarre to see someone signal their bike turns, I suppose the oddest thing was that I actually took a second to wonder if I had suddenly been transported to another world.
