So I've really been missing my legacy Sims lately. NaNo has been consuming most of my free time and because of that, as well as being derailed by my Legaversary project, I've kind of lost track of what I wanted to have happen next. I drew a blank on my outline. I mean, I *know* what I need to have happen, but there's a bunch of filler that I need. Blah.
Anyway, so I was thinking, "Maybe I'll take some of my legacy Sims and play them in a different 'hood." I wanted to see how everything would run on my new rig. Then I was all like, "But maybe I should have them live in my legacy houses, because I hate building." So I went to extract the houses from my legacy 'hood. Then I was all like, "Well, seeing as I'm here..."
I played for only half an hour. There's so much that I need to replay and stage for the next update, so I only planned to play until the toddlers in the 'hood learned their skills. Then I realized that I had to go shopping for Thanksgiving and that I really ought to type the 1667 words goal for the day before I play any more.
So, here are some of the pictures that I *did* take.
Of course, I went straight to my main house. I also decided to give ACR another go, though I did make it where nobody can get pregnant autonomously. Rhys and Eden seemed to appreciate it :)
Rhys, bless his heart, actually rolled wants to train the kids their toddler skills.
Eden, on the other hand, has absolutely no maternal instincts. Fortunately her high Outgoing and Nice points make it where she doesn't mind playing with her kids. She would rather be doing something else, as you can see by her athletic attire. Seriously, Erin (whose name may or may not be changed before she comes into the story because it's too close to Eden) took a moment to come to her bottle, and Eden immediately dropped it and went to go perform Tai Chi.
Poor Mary. The ghosts were rather relentless in their hauntings. Mary has a lot to cry about and now she can add Had an accident to the list.
Rhys: Yes, Quinn, Potty. Grandma went potty.
You would think that he would be happy at the thought of being able to clean something, but, alas, that was not the case...
The moment he got done teaching Quinn how to talk, the ghosts left Mary alone and went after him.
And, of course, instead of sensibly making a beeline to the shower, he decided to primp.
Rhys: Hey, Babe? You didn't see anything, right?
Eden: *eyes closed, forgetting that she has a child the moment she taught Erin how to talk* No sweetie, I didn't see anything.
Rhys: Awesome. Let's keep it that way.
And then I noticed something really weird...
All the female ghosts in the graveyard were out at the same time. And not only that, but they were *literally* stalking Rhys. And SMILING at him. I had to babysit him for the rest of the night to make sure that he didn't die.
He probably would have been more appreciative of the fact that even dead women found him attractive...if he wouldn't have had that little bathroom accident because of it.
They would not leave him alone! I was going to let them do a little ACR induced 'hooing, and Kelly kept interrupting them.
Kelly: You don't mind, do you dear?
Eden: Hm? What? I seem to have ADD today when it comes to anything being in my queue. As soon as the other target becomes distracted, I feel the need to perform Tai Chi.
Rhys: Um, hello? I need to use the bathroom again!
Fortunately after that, the sun came up and the ghosts went back to their graves, allowing Rhys and Eden to carry on with their regular business of 'hooing three times a day.
That's all I got. As a side note, I'm really irritated that Gadwin doesn't work on my new computer, no matter what I do and what tips I follow to make it work with Windows 7 and The Sims (short of playing in windowed mode: I would have to edit every single picture if I did that. Blech). These pictures were taken using FRAPS, and then resized and the clarity of the pictures turned out really bad. Sharpening them made it worse. I might have to resolve myself to using the in game camera again. *sigh*
I really, REALLY can't wait to finish NaNo because I really want to get Chapter Five finished (or at least have the kids born in the story before Christmas). Hopefully I won't draw a complete blank next time I try to do my outline!
