Hello, all! So I'm back home (tired as helllll), so I thought I should share my experience in Costa Rica with everyone of you! :]
The above picture would be a shot taken from the first hotel I stayed at. This is the nation's capital, San José.
The next day, we visited a biopark.
And then after that, we went to see the Poas volcano. Isn't it cool?! :D
As we were walking back to the tour bus, I noticed this. I was a little confused as to why the men's and women's washrooms were put together in the same room... Hmm.
Driving to another hotel, we had the opportunity to watch the sun set above a volcano.
We then arrived to Monteverde, where we had the chance to go shopping in the tourist areas. I noticed a dog just hanging out on the corner of the street. You could imagine my confusion as to why there was a Siberian Husky in a hot place like Costa Rica, haha. At least his eyes were cool.
Speaking of dogs, we came back to the hotel room to find this lovely friend. I thought it was so cuuuute!
A few days later, we visited an elementary school in Santa Elena. Let me tell you, education is valued so much in Costa Rica. They stopped funding the Costa Rican army, and put the money towards the schools. I thought it was amazing. The kids performed a traditional dance for us. Super cute.
These two, however, caught my eye. They were the youngest out of the entire group. The girl was extremely confused throughout the entire dance, and the boy just kept pushing her back to her side. The boy's a boss.
We also went on a tour to the crocodile river. I saw this bird feeding on a dead rat. Gross.
We saw this baby crocodile. He was about.. 4 or 5 years old.
The driver of the boat was also a crocodile.. tamer? I don't know, lol. But yeah, this crocodile's name was Osama. Don't ask why, haha.
Coooool, right?!
This crocodile's name was Mike Tyson. I'm pretty sure you can see why.
Tyson then swam under our boat. This wasn't zoomed in at all.
After the tour, we went back to the shopping area. I met this man, whose name was Angel. He was making necklace pendants at the time.
My friend bought this one for $25
Kso.. We went to the beach. I was sitting by the shore, being pushed by the waves (Please tell me you do that, too...) and a bunch of sand got caught in-between the two layers of my bathing suit. There were not slits or openings in the suit, so I had to walk around looking like I shit myself. It was really uncomfortable, lol. I'm still trying to get the sand out of there. It's not working! :[
We also went zip-lining! This was the Tarzan Swing, where they attached a rope to my harness and pushed me off of a platform. As I was swinging back and forth, I accidentally kicked one of the zip-lining guys square in the face. He wasn't too pleased when he was releasing my harness from the rope, lol..
P.S. Like my face? :D
The following pictures weren't taken with my camera, since we were near water, but here are just a bunch of group pictures with my friends and I. These pictures were taken by a waterfall (hence the background). Oh, and I'm the one with the red Crocs.
We went to a hot springs spa later that day :]
There are way more pictures, but this was just a very, very brief summary of my time in Costa Rica.
tokaras has asked me to do another update of the Trippys with the kids growing up into adults. I know I've already grown them up, but I did that in BodyShop, shh.. So yeah, hopefully that'll be coming up soon. We just started up school again today, so.. I'll try to get it up!
...That's what she said.
