T minus 2

I was just reading the last couple of posts and thinking to myself. Biiiitch.

Today is the second to last day of the semester. 1 exam today, 1 speech and 1 paper to turn in tomorrow.
Yesterday was another impossibly long day. Woke up at 5am to study for an exam. After class I went back home (which is an hour out of the way) and watched a couple of episodes of Viva la Bam before heading back down into the city for class number 2 (which only lasted 20 minutes). I killed 2 and a half hours searching the internet for even the teensiest hope for our economy (we're screwed). Then I headed over to Hilary's, watched Jon & Kate plus 8 for the first time, and learned about "Day Without A Gay" (which is today!) from Hilary's roommates. I'm actually really excited about that. I hope a lot of people do it because it'll certainly show the arrogants [arrogantians!]how much we'd be missing in this world.
Then we headed across the street to meet for burgers with people from the "film shoot" we did last month. And had a lovely conversation about pirates and cheese, and we bonded over a mutual dislike for a certain person and an agreement that a Bennigan's can-opener would be the best Christmas present. Ever.
But the night doesn't end there! I then went over to Millenium Park to meet friends for ice skating! It's awesomely good fun. I was shocked and surprised by how UNcrowded it was (seriously) and how beautiful the city looks at night [with the snow falling] from that part of the park.
After half of our group left, I danced around to Christmas music like a looney while the Zamboni did it's thing. I definitely caught the eye of the Zamboni driver. Definitely. We did a victory lap around the newly smoothed ice and then headed to Noodles & Co. for food! Except that I had already eaten. I even had guacamole left on my sweatshirt. Why did nobody tell me???
Original plans had us heading back over to Hilary's for hot chocolate, but we decided to call it a night. The creeping, burping man outside of our train station weirded us out enough to send us in the direction of the grocery store where we bought brownies and said hello to our favorite grocery store buddy, Lee.

in the words of a smart man, "I can't be mucking around with this stuff"!! I've got a paper to write and a speech to prepare.

Home soon
