Hello! Well this post is certainly long overdue, isn't it. We decided to cover all four themes for once and under the cut you'll find 16 recs covering the themes popular pairings, rare pairs & gen, older works and het & crossovers.
Just a little reminder: we generally try to rec newer fics, as in anything posted within the last 3-4 months, except for sundays where we rec both new and old fic, excluding our third theme day where we rec older fics only.
We are always open to suggestions though we don't make any promises that we'll end up reccing it. If you have any feel free to leave your recs here.

Let me start by saying that this is probably one of my favorite Jongkeys ever, and I know that probably doesn't mean a lot to you guys, but just. It is such a wonderful read, it's long which is always a plus in my books, and it is entrancing. The plot is so wonderfully done, the growing romance very subtle and I am in love with the characterization, this is such an amazing AU. There are hints all over the fic and then it all pieces together once you hit the end, and that is my favorite type of plot. It gets you thinking and wondering and keeps you captivated.

Summary: it starts the day jinki sees minho press kibum against the kitchen sink.
As always, I simply am a sucker for longfic, this was a great read. I understand that a lot of people dislike lapslock, so I will start by, I guess, warning that this fic is in lapslock. Personally, I didn't have a problem reading it and I enjoyed the story fully. The plot in here is simple and yet, it is paced in such a manner that makes it very very good. There's a lot of subtle shifting in dynamics among pairings, and it was done very well. I also think that Jinki's character was well done, obviously characterization is ultimately subjective, but I thought that I could see Jinki being like this and that really solidified this for me.

Such a creepy amazingly written story. It's always wonderful to read something a little out of the ordinary and this is def out of the ordinary. I absolutely love the Jongyu dynamics but Taemin and Key were a joy to read as well. I know it's incredibly annoying for authors to get this but I am hoping there will be a sequel. /bricked

I've always thought Key/Minho are quite difficult to get a handle on and this is a wonderful example of how sweet and blunt the pairing can be. Minho is so very lovely and patient in this it's a little heartbreaking. :( This is probably one of my favorite Minho/Key fics and I just don't think I can rec it enough. :(

Hardhitting and so blunt and concise, I just absolutely love this take on 2min and it's also really to nice to read this characterization of Taemin. There's so much more going on in this story than what is written and it stays with you for a long while after reading it. I don't even know.

I love this fic, I admit this is probably the first Onew/Minho I ever read, and I am so happy I read it. For one thing, I love longfic, for another, I love future!fic. Mostly though, I am really glad that she gave Minho a personality. He was more than just the silent guy who gives great and serious advice, gdi, he had emotions and he did very human things and I loved that a lot. I felt like she did a great job with group dynamics, showcasing the bonds (platonic or romantic) between the members, and the character traits that make them recognizable. So yes, I am very fond of the characterization here and I love the pacing. Overall, a wonderful read.

i guess i should warn for the lapslock? i don't really care about those sort of things but if it matters to you, there you go: warning for lapslock. i really loved this fic; first of all it's longfic and secondly it's nc-17, but mostly i loved it because it offers such an interesting take on jonghyun/minho dynamics- competitive and demanding without turning them into complete neanderthals.

Also, the dialogue brought out traits in the characters that made them more than just names and I love that :D

My inner sci-fi geek went a little crazy when I read this. Onew/Minho is a pairing I hardly ever get to read and so to find this little gem was just lovely. I think it manages to pull in the reader and gives off a slightly claustrophobic feel that helps connect you to the story. I think Onew was a little to nervous for me but still I really enjoyed reading this. Oh, and a tiny mechanical dog named Jjong? too cute. :')

This is a het and a crossover ;D It's really lovely to read, I thought that she took the rumors with Taemin getting beat up and put an interesting and delicate
twist on them to make the Taemin/Minji work. The dynamics make sense to me, and I found it very easy to read and easy to believe. Her writing style is just nice to delve into and I fully enjoyed this.

I thought this was an entirely good read. She has such amazing banter in here, everything just seems to work, and I have such a thing for the whole outlaw plot and I just really loved this, the use of the other band members and the plot was wonderfully spun.

I like it that the presentation of emotions is so raw and real, as if Jinki is rambling (which is true in this fic, imo), and how things don't end happily. Very poignant. Definitely a good read.
