the captain's post
a simple post composed of all the things that inspired me to start and sail my favorite crackship, soohyun/hyorin.
►it pretty much all started with this photo taken during kmf in 2011 (really sorry i don't know who the original source is ;~;)
they performed a collab at the concert with a senior artist, alongside song jieun of secret and jay park. i saw this on tumblr about a few weeks after the concert and from that moment on i couldn't get the idea of them out of my head (their outfits even match alkdjrh). it wasn't too long later that hyorin joined immortal song 2 and had the chance to show off another side of her vocal ability and i began dreaming of the day they would sing together. and even as time went on i started noticing all the similarities they shared (i'll cover that later).
►it was around that time as well that i started thinking it over in my mind if they had appeared on any shows together because i'm weird like that and try to hunt for evidence orz. and i realized they had earlier that year because it was a performance i saw months prior that helped me begin to fall in love with sistar. ♥ (once it gets past the one minute mark, keke). soohyun and sistar were on the same team for that special, which made me even happier.
►earlier this year u-kiss and sistar were two of the eight(?) groups chosen to perform at music bank in paris. the kpop gods must have heard my prayers because my dream seriously came true that day. there were a variety of special stages that day and one of them happened to be a soohyun & hyorin duet ♥, in which they sang friend you give me a reason, an english version of a famous french song from the late 80s. and according to this fancam's summary ♥, soohyun gave hyorin his hand so she could go down the stairs ;u; what a gentleman~
►finally, this happens to be one of my personal favorite fancams. ♥ i believe sistar were the first show champion winners since the show had just begun. i just thought it was the cutest thing when soohyun came back when she was calling for someone to stay and he danced a little ;~; i feel like my wishes are coming true lol.
bonus:
►soohyun, kevin, and dongho + hyorin and soyou appeared on beatles code 2 together and on the show they create a series of ~parallels~ between the guests, and they did the parallels between soohyun and hyorin for martial compatibility (which they scored 97% haha). it's all for fun but i thought it was cute and pretty creative ^^
►during part of this news interview, when asked if there were any particular groups they happened to be close to (around 3:50), kevin mentions sistar and how they've attended a lot of the same schedules at the time. soohyun and dongho start giggling when he starts talking about them for some reason that we never really find out lol. from what i recall, kevin says sistar is a really fun group to get along with. again, this doesn't really specify anything but i like knowing both groups get along.

- Hyorin - "I have a tendency to be a perfectionist. For example, if I am singing and there is a high part that I can't reach, I practice until I can do it. Even though I have hurt my voice from doing that, you can't express in words the joy that comes at that moment. I like to torment myself." +
