Ok as it seems that I am not going to be able to do what I wanted for fall break :( I am trying to come up with a group of ppls to go with me to a ren fair.

The above is the webpage for the NC Ren. Faire in Huntersville. It's near Charlotte.
It's only 3 hours and 30minutes from the Emory/Bristol area.
I was thinking the 15th adn 16th would be good. And there are some great shows that are big in the ren faire community that will be there Ded Bob, the Tortuga Twins, and The Washer Wenches.

I think that if there is a group and we car pool the gas and hotel prices should be Very affordable. And the tickets in aren't bad $17 I think... Or around that.
They have some discounts but they aren't showing up as of yet so maybe it might be cheaper but still you pay about the same for a ticket to a play and don't get to spend 8 hours at it. And there are many different things to check out: plays, comedy acts, singing, jousting (I think).
It would be fun and I am planning on going if no one else is anyway just thought it would be more fun for an invasion type deal.
Of course I will be going as Pearl Fox the captain of the Fox's Den. he he he Piratey all the way.
