OK...so...long time since my last update which means there's plenty to say....
1-Sarah K's bachlorette party. Lots of fun..we went to this drag show and I thought it was great...all thanks to Laurel's fantastic planning. We had crazy outfits and stuff and we thought we were going to be late for the show and so we're like running through downtown Chicago with feather boas and stuff. I'm sure that it was a sight to see. I can't believe she's getting married in a week. Crazy. But probably even moreso for her.
2- I got to see Wicked!! It was so unbelievibly amazing!!!! Katrina (the tricky, tricky hobbit), Jenna (the smelly one) and I went downtown last Sunday to hang out cuz Jenna wasn't working so she came to visit. We had talked about seeing Wicked for a long time but never got tickets so we were like "Let's just go and see if we can get tickets for today. We probably can't, but let's just see." So we did and there were only 2 obstructed view tickets available for like $60 for the night time show. BUT the guy at the box office told us that this Borders does a drawing for 20 tickets before every show. So we went to Borders and entered the drawing and my name got called and so we won 2 $25 tickets!! THEN when we went to the box office to redeem them this other lady who won tickets didn't want them cuz they weren't free, so the guy let us have one and this girl in front of us got one. So we just randomly got 3 $25 tickets to Wicked!!!! And the best part is that they were in the first row!! I got to sit behind the conductor which was so much fun. You could hear individual actors sing and it was so much fun to watch him and it was just soooo great!!! And as if that weren't great enough, we got to share the elevator back to our car with the actresses who played Glinda, Nessarose, and Madame Morrible. Sweet! :-D Seriously, you can't possibly understand how happy it made me. And the show was SO SO SOOO fabulous!!!!! I can now die happy....except that I need to go see it again- both cuz it was so good and also cuz I didn't take my little brother with me and that makes me a jerk.
3- The new Harry Potter book came out and it's so good and I love it and it totally changes everything and I'm still in shock from it cuz I only finished it yesterday. Remember when I hated harry Potter? Yeah, that was stupid and I got better. And by better I mean obsessed.
4- Eric has a new job and I hate it. He's still working for his AV company but he was made the director of this brand new hotel they just contracted with so he has to start from scratch. He's working all the time and when he's not working, he's sleeping. I hate it.
5- Beth Cooper and I need a roommate for next year. So if you're a super cool North Parker who wants to live in an apartment with us.....
6- Last night was the first Summer on Broadway bowling night. It was fun and I love camp. And the camp staff is not so bad, either.
7- I really hate Eric's new job.
8- We had both of our first session shows and they were great. I am SO happy with the way that Little Shop of Horrors came out and Peter Pan looked pretty good, too. :-) I'm not nearly as excited about this session...but I'm sure they'll look great by the end, too. :-)
