Back in School...
OKAY! So I haven't updated in a while... Sorry about that. Been busy. School you know. I'm taking a little bit of my free time (which happens to be only an hour today) to tell you about college life this semester.
This semester I am taking 18 hours (which is the maximum) and might have been taking more if I hadn't managed to get out of all those stupid learning community required classes. Never thought I'd say this but: thank you IB. (yeah, I got out of a gen.ed. class because of IB HOTA and 20th Cent. THANKS ABBOTMUNK AND LAYTON!!!)
My scheduele consists of:
4 hours of chemistry (that's lecture and lab, the latter going for 1 hour. When in reality it should be more like 8 hours because lab is two hours long, lecture is a total of 3 a week, plus there's an hour long problem session, and an hour long quiz session, which both cut into my schedualling.)
4 hours of biology (which should be more like 5 because of the lab)
3 hours of orchestra (quartet, chamber, and OMG: LESSON!!!){yeah, i've never had lessons before, so STFU}
3 hours of intro to anthropology (which I like. I mean, right now it's just evolution, which we're also doing in biology, so it's like review)
I have anthro on mondays and wednesdays and biology on tuesdays and thursdays at the same time, in the same building, in the SAME ROOM! So I often say to my friends in biology (who are not in anthro with me) "didn't we do this last time?" and they just give me a weird look, hinting at me that I did it in anthro and they have no idea what I'm talking about. :3 It happens a lot.
What we're doing in orchestra:
- Quartet: a mozart quartet it's like Quartet in C KV157. We looked it up on youtube with no luck. but it's beautiful and the viola part isn't as hard as I thought it was. XD
- Orchestra: The Witch's Sabbath (WHICH I LOVE) and a Mendlesson Symphony (which I can't remember the name of right now)
- Lesson: A Bach Violincello solo, of my choosing, which I still have to choose. I like #1 a lot, but I've already learned most of it. 2 is nice... but so many flats... *sigh*
I'm not to happy with chemistry right now. It's not that it's hard. No, it's the EXACT opposite. I'm having a WEEE bit of an issue with the whole "OMG, THIS IS JUST LIKE CHEM 10!!!" Plus my teacher looks like a combination of my chem 10 teachers. *shudder* It's just... Creepy... >> SAVE ME!
